Cornford's Lookout - Millaroo
Cornford's Lookout, a 50 minute drive from Ayr, will give you a wonderful view of the Burdekin River which has helped the district establish such rich agricultural and horticultural industries. The lookout also gives you a bird's eye view of some of the track that is used to transport sugar cane back to the mills. Just watch your footing as it is a long way down. It has been alleged that there are a few crocodiles in the river system so you may even be lucky enough to spot one of them as well.
