Drysdale Clock Tower
Queen Street is dominated by a clock tower which was unveiled in January 1930 in honour of John Drysdale, who was a pioneer in developing the local sugar industry. Drysdale managed Pioneer and Kalamia Sugar Mills, built Inkerman Mill in Home Hill with engineer Henry Braby and helped to provide the town and surrounding areas with a reliable fresh water supply.
