The former St Patrick's Catholic Church in Brandon is a timber church originally constructed in 1910, when Brandon was part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton. The church served the local Catholic community until 1974, before ceasing religious use.
Following severe cyclone damage in 1989, the building was relocated to its present site by Burdekin Shire Council, ensuring its preservation for future generations. In recognition of its historical and architectural significance, the church was listed by the National Trust of Queensland and the Australian Heritage Commission in 1975.
Today, the former church houses a collection of Brandon's local memorabilia, offering visitors insight into the area's community and history. It is located within the Brandon Heritage Precinct and can be viewed during the guided tours of the Burdekin Machinery Preservationists.
