Mt Inkerman

Just 10 minutes south of Home Hill, Mt Inkerman serves sweeping views of sugarcane fields, the Burdekin River and even Cape Upstart, making it the most breathtaking vantage point in the region. But it's more than just a lookout, it's an adventure spot, cultural spot and photo-op paradise all in one.

Learn about the hill's significance to local Indigenous people through the informative display panels, then strike a pose inside the giant photo frame for that iconic shot.

If you're feeling energetic, take on the Mt Inkerman Nature Trail (MINT). This 30–45 minute walk winds through native bushland from the base of the hill right up to the lookout. With two convenient access points directly off the Bruce Highway, it’s easy to choose where your adventure begins.

Prefer something more relaxed? Fire up the free BBQ, enjoy a picnic on the viewing deck or watch the sunset as it washes over the patchwork landscape below. Facilities at the lookout include covered lookouts, picnic tables, BBQ, toilets and parking.
