Mt Inkerman Nature Trail (MINT)

Mt Inkerman Nature Trail 2025

Explore the region’s native bushland on the Mount Inkerman Nature Trail (MINT), a 30–45 minute walk that rewards hikers with sweeping views from one of the Burdekin’s most iconic lookouts. The climb to the top is steep in sections, but the scenic bush setting and panoramic views make it well worth the effort.

The trail winds its way through natural vegetation as it ascends Mount Inkerman, offering a peaceful and immersive walking experience for nature lovers and keen walkers alike.

There are two access points to the Mount Inkerman Nature Trail, both leading to the lookout.

  • Access Point One: Turn off the Bruce Highway at the Mount Inkerman turnoff. About halfway up the road, a clearing on the right marks the start of the trail.
  • Access Point Two: Turn off the Bruce Highway at the Mount Inkerman Shop. Park in the car park and walk left alongside the mountain, where you’ll find signage marking the trail entry.

Allow time at the top to take in the views across the Burdekin, especially stunning at sunrise or sunset.
