Our Business Members are investing in the future of our Tourism Industry. Income generated from membership enables us to effectively market and promote local businesses and tourism operators as well as undertake research and provide opportunities to develop local tourism.

    Q Street Grill is open for the evenings and welcomes everyone, from after work drinks, meals with the family and everything in between. Their Gourmet burgers are to die for! But that's not all they have to offer, their Steaks, and our Chefs Specials are delicious. They offer a selection of Beer on tap and have an excellent cocktail menu.

  • Groper Creek became popular for fishing expeditions to Beachmount and Cape Upstart. Today the small fishing community's population is made up of around 50 permanent residents, mostly being retirees. In holiday seasons the population balloons to over 300 with visitors flocking to the caravan park located on the bank of Groper Creek. Many of the visitors come to take advantage of local fishing and crabbing.

  • Lyn and Greg Miller Invite you to stop and stay on their farm and experience this great district we call the Burdekin.  This is a working Cane Farm, however, we have a plot of Mango trees overlooking the creek. We have a number of powered and non powered sites and water is available.  An abundance of wildlife will keep you busy as will the bird life.

  • The western shore of Upstart Bay has four beaches between the southern channel of the Burdekin River, Groper Creek and Molongle Creek. All four are accessible by vehicle and have some degree of fishing shack and holiday settlements. Molongle Creek Beach (901) is a 700 m long strip of north facing sand formed on the east side of the creek mouth and a easily accessible caravan park for visitors to stay and enjoy the area.

  • Watch a movie (or two) under the stars at this wonderful drive-in theatre. Reverse in, grab a bite to eat from the café and relax under the stars.

    This accommodation is in a 20-minute walk from Gubulla Munda Totem. Cannonvale is 158 km away. A short drive will take you to Plantation Park.

    The hotel has 14 rooms equipped with television, a dining area and an electric kettle. Guests can enjoy views of the outdoor pool.
