Ayr War Memorial
This charming and cool location was the first officially gazetted in the town. It has memorial gates (built from clay in 1926) for those who fought and died in World War I and a pleasant space which is ideal for picnics. The memorial was originally erected to commemorate the fallen of World War I. The names of those who paid the supreme sacrifice in World War Two and Korea were inscribed upon the memorial at a later date.
