Heritage Buildings
The towns of the Burdekin have maintained much of their character with a large collection of buildings in a variety of vintage styles. For those who have an appreciation of heritage architecture, there are some excellent examples of workers' cottages, Queenslander and postwar buildings throughout the northern side of Ayr such as Wilmington and Mackenzie Street. On the eastern side of the Home Hill CBD, there are a number of well maintained heritage style homes for you to admire.
